Frequently asked questions
- What counts as a monitored repo?
- Any GitHub repository you connect to Breakwatch that has active scanning enabled. Archived or paused repos don't count toward your limit.
- What happens if I hit my repo limit?
- Existing repos keep working. You just won't be able to add new ones until you upgrade or remove a repo.
- Will Breakwatch spam me with alerts?
- No. You control severity thresholds and can switch to digest mode for daily or weekly summaries. On paid plans, we classify every change by severity so you only get pinged for what matters. Silence is a feature.
- Is my code safe?
- Yes. Breakwatch uses read-only GitHub access. We scan for vendor API imports and discard the code. We never store your source code, never share data across accounts, and never use your code to train AI models.
- Can I cancel anytime?
- Yes. Cancel from your account settings or the Stripe billing portal. Your plan stays active until the end of the current billing period. No refunds for partial periods.
- Do you offer annual billing?
- Yes. Annual billing saves you 17% compared to monthly. You can switch between monthly and annual from your billing portal.
- What if a vendor I use isn't covered?
- We're adding vendors regularly. Reach out at support@breakwatch.ai and we'll prioritize it. Currently monitoring 16 vendors across AI, payments, communications, devtools, and more.
- How is my data handled?
- Your data is siloed per installation and never mixed with other accounts. Code excerpts are only used for real-time classification and are not retained. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
